The Common Ground Teachers Institute has inspired English teachers in the Greater Houston metropolitan area since 1989 through collaborative summer seminars designed and facilitated by university professors. Gathering in the Honors College at the University of Houston, English educators energize each other in spirited, thoughtful incisive discussions about literature, the classroom and the world.

Free to participants thanks to the generous support of the McGovern Foundation
Book stipends and parking will be provided.
 
Approved by the Texas Education Agency to award CPE credits.
