Join us to commemorate Hilton College’s first day of classes exactly 50 years ago with a Day of Service. Participation is encouraged and supported by your professors!
First, fuel up at a VOLUNTEER BREAKFAST – Serving coffee and doughnuts from 7 to 8 a.m. in our hotel lobby.
Then, choose one of the following activities to give back to our community! You are responsible for your own transportation.
- Hope Farms – 8 a.m. to noon. Come dressed to plant vegetables to help the Recipe for Success Foundation fight childhood obesity! Garden tools provided. Hats and sunscreen recommended. 10401 Scott St., Houston, TX 77051. Limited to 20 spots.
- Houston Food Bank – 8 a.m. to noon. Come dressed to stock pantries! Closed-toe shoes REQUIRED for your safety. Pants and T-shirts with sleeves preferred. 535 Portwall St., Houston, TX 77029.
- Covenant House – 8 a.m. to noon. Come dressed to clean and organize the donation closet at this safe haven for young people! 1111 Lovett Blvd., Houston, TX 77006.
- Blood Mobile – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Give blood at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Mobile parked in front of our Hilton University of Houston.
When you return, we’ll reward your efforts with a VOLUNTEER LUNCH and a Day of Service COMMEMORATIVE T-SHIRT – 1 p.m. in the South Wing lobby.
