Event Benefits UH Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Among Others

HOUSTON—Chefs from across Houston will converge on the Hilton University of Houston for a chance to utter the famous lines from Julius Caesar, “I came. I saw. I conquered.” They’ll be participating in the 29th Annual Caesar Salad Competition for bragging rights for the next year.

The event, sponsored by My Table Magazine and produced by the Food & Beverage Managers Association of Houston, is planned from 5 – 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, in the Conrad Hilton Grand Ballroom of the hotel. This is the first time the event will be held at UH.

“We are so excited to be hosting the competition here,” said Kevin S. Simon, director of the college’s Fred Parks Wine Cellar and a board member of the Food & Beverage Managers Association. “This is the one fundraising event held annually by the Association benefiting the Educational Endowments, of which Hilton College receives the lion’s share. To be able to host this event is very special for us; in a small manner, it’s our way of showing our appreciation for the many years of support provided by this industry association.”
