Career Highlights
Before joining Hilton College in August 2013, taught, earned tenure, developed and/or led a hospitality program and a culinary program, and held several administrative positions at Eastern New Mexico’s College of Business, including MBA coordinator, interim dean and dean; served 14 years in various management roles with the Texas Attorney General’s Office before pursuing a doctorate; years of engagement and experience in the Texas wine industry, including a position as a regional wine manager for Glazer’s Wholesale, before turning to academia full time; received the 2012-13 Presidential Award for Excellence in Research at Eastern New Mexico University; and earned the Best Paper Award (with Dr. Nelson Barber) during the VDQS 16th Annual Wine Economics Conference in Namur, Belgium, for a paper titled Who Are Ecological Wine Tourists: A Case for Selective Marketing in May 2009.
