Glass Half Full: The Story of Houston's First Charity Bar

OKRA began as a group of restaurant and bar owners that wanted to fight new city parking ordinances. The parking laws would be hurting the local, independent bars and impacting the bar culture. Instead of fighting the regulations individually, Bobby created a “dream team” of restaurant and bar owners. As a group, they were able to stop the new parking restrictions and come together to support one another. OKRA has now opened a non-profit bar called, OKRA, benefiting a different charity each month.
