Description
The Lance T. Funston Communication Center at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication Expansion project consists of an extensive renovation and addition to the School of Communication. The project, as approved by the Board of Regents, will comprise of approximately 4150 GSF of new construction / expansion, and approximately 15,500 GSF of renovated existing space. New construction elements include a state-of-the-art video production studio, and support facilities for those studios. Renovated areas include a new grand entry, an upgraded video production studio, faculty / staff offices, classrooms, and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety infrastructure. Existing studio equipment will be relocated to the new studios. There is no new furniture, fixtures or equipment in this project budget. There will also be minimal landscaping and art enhancement to the facility .
