Karen Fang

Karen Fang writes about film, literature, visual and global culture. Her most recent book is Arresting Cinema: Surveillance in Hong Kong Film (Stanford 2017). She is a committee member for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, on the board of the Houston Cinema Arts Society, and a juror and commentator to film programs and at museums and film festivals across the globe. For The Engines of Our Ingenuity, Karen is devoted to sharing stories about how artistic innovations and art's contribution to science and technology enrich and demonstrate our common humanity.
