This class is designed to educate the student on policies and procedures for managing crowds for special events on the University of Houston campus. The class information is based on the requirements from NFPA 101, Life Safety Code. This class is 2hrs long instructor led training. At the end of the class a short exam will be given to reinforce the material taught to the class. After completion of this course and receiving a passing grade of 70 or above on the exam the student will receive the Crowd Manager Certification. This certification will be required for all persons working a special event on the University of Houston campus. Special events include but are not limited to, sporting events, concerts, plays, etc..
Attendance requires a fee of $20, this fee is waived for University employees and students. It is payable in person at the beginning of class by check or money order payable to "The University of Houston".
