The 2015 March of Dimes March for Babies was held on the UH campus on Sunday April 26th. There was plenty of food, fun and entertainment for the registered walkers.  The UH Marching Band performed at the UH tent and Khambrel Marshall and Britta Merwin from KPRC Channel 2 were at the starting line encouraging the walkers. 

"The UH College of Education raised $1,660 in cash and online donations. We had a great mix of COE students, faculty and staff who supported the cause by raising funds and walking," said Team Captain, Paula Leveston.  "I’ve had the pleasure of participating in the March of Dimes March for Babies for 9 years and coordinating for 3 of those years."

"We walked for the babies, one step at a time, making each dollar raised count," said staff member Becky Perez. "I celebrated my 19^th year Walking for March of Dimes."

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
