August 31, 2017 Memo from Dean McPherson

August 31, 2017

Message from UH College of Education Dean Bob McPherson

My thoughts continue to be with our students, faculty, staff, alumni and community partners after this devastating storm. I know our city and region have a long road to recovery, but I have been uplifted seeing so many acts of kindness.

The College of Education leadership team is here to help our students, colleagues and community with the physical and emotional toll that Harvey has taken. If you need assistance or have questions, please email emellon@uh.edu.

As I said during our First Lecture event earlier in August, now is the time for us to rise up. This is true even more now. Teachers, school leaders, counselors, psychologists and health workers all will be on the frontlines of recovery. This is our wheelhouse, and we can serve.

Please continue to check your email for updates from UH and check the UH Harvey website. You can also follow the College of Education on Twitter (@UHCOE) and on Facebook (@UHedu).
