Enrollment Services is proud to announce that Patrick Lukingbeal, Ph.D., has been named Executive Director of Integrated Enrollment Services, effective July 1, 2019. Dr. Lukingbeal assumes the position following the departure of Lorianna Mapps, who now serves as Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services at Howard College in Columbia, Maryland.

“I am extremely excited to join my colleagues in Enrollment Services as we continue to support student success and assist with the navigation of complex enrollment, financial and retention issues. I am passionate about creating the best welcome and on-boarding experience we can for students,” said Lukingbeal.

Since 2014, Lukingbeal has served as Director of UH Wellness, where he has impacted its scope and outreach as well as increased individual use of programs and services. He also is an adjunct instructor in the Masters of Education in Counseling program. Lukingbeal has several years of progressive experience in various higher education capacities, including wellness and well-being, residence life, conduct and student activities. Before joining the University of Houston, he served at Rice University, Georgetown University and Texas A&M University.

“We are delighted to have someone as accomplished and committed to student success as Patrick serve as Executive Director for Integrated Enrollment Services,” said Mara Affre, University of Houston Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services. “We are confident that his extensive background in Student Affairs will be a complement to our talented team in Enrollment Services.”

Lukingbeal earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Individual Differences with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from the UH College of Education. He received his Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education and his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies — both from Texas A&M University.
