International Student and Scholar Services Office Moves to DSAES

The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services is pleased to announce that the International Student and Scholar Services Office (ISSSO) has been transferred from the Office of the Provost's Global Strategies and Studies area effective October 23, 2019. The mission of ISSSO in "providing for the special needs of international students and exchange visitors related to their status as non-immigrants of the United States" aligns with the division's mission that "cultivates an environment that facilitates student success through learning, discovery, and engagement". In addition, the ISSSO support services and programs provide the international student community multiple ways to connect with the larger UH and City of Houston communities and serve as a complement to the collective and comprehensive activities, programs, and services offered through the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services.

stated Dr. Richard Walker, Vice Chancellor/Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services. ISSSO will report directly to Dr. Daniel Maxwell, Associate Vice Chancellor/Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.
