Floyd Robinson was announced as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs – Health and Wellness position, effective January 1, 2012. Floyd has 29 years of experience in the health and wellness field. He is known for his outstanding record of service to UH students, faculty and staff while serving as the Director of the UH Health Center and recently the Interim Director of Campus Recreation. Prior to joining the University of Houston, he served as the Director of the Wellness Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital and as Assistant Director with The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

“I am confident in Floyd’s ability to guide our efforts in the area of health and wellness initiatives for our students which are critical to supporting student success”, said Dr. Richard Walker, Vice Chancellor/ Vice President Student Affairs.

While searches are conducted for new directors, Floyd will continue in his role as both the Director of the Health Center and Interim Director of Campus Recreation.
