Dr. Guadalupe Quintanilla is an associate professor in the Dept. of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston. She holds an Ed.D and a M.A. from the University of Houston (1976, 1971) and a B.S from Pan American University (1969)

Dr. Quintanilla has been a powerful influence in the Hispanic community where she has worked tirelessly to encourage students to attend a University. She has also, for many years, worked to raise funds for scholarships for students attending the University of Houston. She is a popular speaker for local and national conventions where she discusses topics ranging from literature to Spanish for the professions. Her story has inspired many to continue their education and to succeed.
