Bio
Leonard Chan is the current Texas Center for Public Safety Excellence Consortium Chair and accreditation manager for Houston Fire Department. He has been a speaker at various fire service conferences and participated in National Fire Protection Association and Center for Public Safety Excellence workgroups. He previously served as the accreditation manager with Cedar Park Fire Department, a policy analyst for Texas Sunset Advisory Commission as well as running as a candidate for the Texas House of Representatives in 2020. Chan earned his master of public administration from the University of Houston and graduated magna cum laude from Rice University in political science, history, and religious studies.
