This scholarship is available to students pursuing a Master's degree program (MAT, Sport and Fitness Administration and Nutrition) in the Department of Health and Human Performance.

The Irene Buckner Graduate endowment was established by Irene Buckner’s husband, Dr. W.P. Buckner, Jr. to honor her achievements in establishing wellness programs for students. Buckner’s leadership skills challenged students to set high academic goals for themselves in order to master the competencies needed for successful, responsible and healthy living.
