Dia De la Mujer Latina y Familias , A Gift of Health, Fiesta (The Day of the Latin Woman and Families)

On Saturday, October 12, 2013, the USLHC conducted hearing and speech/language screenings at the Magnolia Multi-Service Center Dia De la Mujer Latina y Familias, A Gift of Health, Fiesta (The Day of the Latin Woman and Families), 7037 Capitol St., Houston, Tx. 77011. Graduate clinicians, under the direction of ComD Clinical Educators, screened 110 individuals during the four-hour event. UH undergraduate bi-lingual students trained as interpreters participated. Printed handouts (English and Spanish) on normal language development, pragmatic language use, and hearing loss prevention were distributed to families.
