Aaron F. Ott
Lecturer
Religious Studies
M.A. in Anthropology, University of Houston
Biographical Summary
My background as a religious practitioner, along with a Master of Theology degree from an evangelical seminary, developed my interest in religion, its history, development, and practices. Understanding the role of religions in society, including how it contributes to culture change, has been the greatest influence on my research, including the M.A. from the University of Houston. My current studies, while pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Central Florida (continuing from the topic of my Master’s thesis,) focus on the present and potency of state religion in ancient Mesoamerica.
