On February 11, 2012 @ 8pm U of H, Cullen Performance Hall Urban Souls Dance Company presents its 2nd show of the season Old Wounds: New Blood. In the spirit of Black History, USDC highlights the achievement of African Americans who made a significant impact on the global society. The program features two world premiers that is filled with a history of resilience by Artistic Director, Harrison Guy and General Manager, Walter Hull.

Old Wounds: New Blood- Harrison Guy Inspired by the Buffalo Soldiers, members of the U.S. 10th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, formed in 1866. AAThe premiere pays homage to America's first professional African American soldiers, this work will feature an original score by Dr. Malcolm Rector. Costume design by Houston designer Toni Whitaker, and original text by 3 local spoken word artists Seek the Poet, Gem, and Choice.
McGowen at 6- Walter Hull also introduces his latest choreographic installment highlighting the founding women of the Blue Triangle Community Center in Third Ward.
One in A Congregation-
A collection of acapella spirituals that will be performed live by The Prairie View A & M University Concert Chorale.
