Adam has three years of clinical experience providing short-term therapy, crisis intervention, and psychosocial support to US and international individuals, couples, and families of all ages and multicultural backgrounds, from a family systems/differentiation perspective incorporating ACT interventions. Adam also has a passion for working with couples and provided counseling on a crisis line for two and a half years. He has delivered evidence-based curriculums in a school setting and has several years’ experience working in schools. He considers it a great privilege to work with UH students and hopes to help them achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals while dealing with any challenges which may arise, and is very excited to join the CAPS team. Adam is a student-affiliate member of the American Psychological Association (APA), a member of Division 43, the Society for Couple and Family Psychology, and the Asian American Psychological Association, having previously lived and worked in Japan.
