THE HIVE meets the 2nd Friday of every month via Zoom, except for a special pop-up conversation with Save Our Sisters United (SOSU) on February 26th which will occur on Instagram Live (@UHWGRC). Save Our Sisters United is a local nonprofit organization that builds safe spaces where transgender women can live their truths, and they were recipients of the 2020 WGRC Phenomenal Wom(e)n award. SOSU’s work is invaluable to the success and well-being of all people, but especially those on our campus and in the city of Houston.

The team will be using the memoir All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson to guide a discussion around the theme of family support and recognition of queer members.

We no longer have free copies of the book available. Please consider visiting the UH bookstore or African Imports at the Greenspoint Mall to purchase your copy. Participants are welcome to join the monthly conversations even if they have not read the book.
