Houston History Magazine Launch and Panel Discussion

Covering centuries of history, “Engines of Our Ingenuity” has aired over 3,200 episodes since 1988 that explore innovative thinkers who advanced the arts, education, science, engineering, medicine, philosophical thought, and more. Some episodes explore the work of people considered the greatest minds of all time, while others highlight extraordinary ideas from those we think of as regular people.

Join us for a panel discussion featuring:
• John Lienhard, the creator and most frequent contributor to “Engines,” and UH Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering and History
• Catherine Patterson, an “Engines” contributor and Associate Professor of History at UH, who teaches British and European History
• Paul Pendergraft, former KUHF senior producer and program announcer, who helped bring it all together
