Once a month the UH Dining Culinary Team incorporates a new superfood into the menu for students and guests to enjoy. This month’s Superfood is Herbs & Spices! Not only do Herbs & Spices enhance the overall flavor of a dish but there is now ample evidence that spices and herbs possess antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumorigenic, anticarcinogenic, and glucose- and cholesterol-lowering activities as well as properties that affect cognition and mood.
