Unexpected Changes to the HPC Storage Landscape

About the Event

The ability to handle mixed workloads can be one of the major requirements in High Performance Computing. One of Panasas’ key advantages is its proven ability to efficiently and effectively handle mixed workloads without the need for constant tuning.

Panasas will be updating the Society on the changing HPC Storage Landscape, including all the advancements at Panasas recently:

Speaker Bio:

Robert Murphy is director of product marketing at Panasas. Previously, Murphy was the big data program manager for General Atomics Energy and Advanced Concepts. He was responsible for HPDA in IBM’s Software Defined Environments organization. Before IBM, Murphy held positions with increasing levels of responsibility at Hewlett Packard, Silicon Graphics and Sun Microsystems. He has a biomedical engineering degree from Purdue University.

From 1 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. the speaker will be available so that students may chat with him regarding their careers, skills and networking.
