SAAM: Triangle Panel Discussion on Sexual Violence
Tuesday, April 20, 2021
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Sexual violence (SV) is a significant problem in the United States. SV refers to sexual activity when consent is not obtained or not given freely. The aggressor can be, but is not limited to, a friend, intimate partner, coworker, neighbor, or family member. We will discuss dating violence, domestic violence, sexual misconduct, consent-what it is and is not, incapacitation, the effects of substance abuse and bystander intervention. This discussion is open to the UH-Main community.
