The works of renowned photojournalist Ernest C. Withers (1922-2007), who captured the progression of anti-racism protests, marches and activism throughout the United States, will be on view at the UH M.D. Anderson Library. “I AM A MAN” is open to the public Sunday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 3.

October is Biosafety and Biosecurity Month. UH Environmental Health and Safety and Campus Safety Systems will present Beyond the Lab: Increasing the Visibility of Biosafety and Biosecurity. Environmental Health and Safety along with Campus Safety Systems will be hosting two question and answer sessions.
This nationally recognized program is designed to educate persons to recognize and respond to the signs of suicidal thinking and behaviors. Individuals will learn how to ask the suicide question, how to persuade the person to contact appropriate assistance, and how to identify referral options.
