In celebration of Earth Day, The Office of Sustainability will host the 6th annual UH Sustainability Fest.

The Urban Experience Program (UEP), the Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI), and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are hosting a mixer for students who identify as Dreamers so they can meet others like themselves and learn how UEP, CDI, and CAPS can support them.

The University of Houston Libraries Digital Research Commons will offer a text-mining colloquium featuring four researchers who have used text-mining in their work. Each speaker will discuss their projects, goals, and approaches to text-mining. Q&A will follow.

This nationally recognized program is designed to educate persons to recognize and respond to the signs of suicidal thinking and behaviors. Individuals will learn how to ask the suicide question, how to persuade the person to contact appropriate assistance, and how to identify referral options.

Mark Barton, instructional professor of tuba at UH, presents a studio recital featuring a variety of solo works for tuba and brass chamber music literature.
