Faith, Love & Sexuality Discussion Series

Join us for a weekly discussion series on sex, sexuality, relationships and theology from Progressive Christian perspectives. Planting 101

In Planting 101, volunteers will have a chance to create their own animal inspired water bottle plant and be able to learn how to maintain their indoor buddy. All supplies including seeds and soil will be provided. No artistic skills are needed as templates will be available. We just ask that you bring your own water bottle to the event.

Societal Discrimination’s Impact on African American Innovation, Invention and Talent

How does hate-related violence affect inequality in invention and innovation? Michigan State University economist and Federal Reserve Board of Governors nominee, Lisa Cook, will address issues such as how systemic racism contributes to wealth inequality at the virtual University of Houston 2022 Bracewell LLP Distinguished Lecture in Racial and Social Justice, 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16.
