Stares & Walls: Sculpture Block Senior Exhibition

The School of Art is proud to announce the Fall 2021 Sculpture Block Senior Exhibition: Stares & Walls. This exhibition is featuring the six Seniors graduating from the undergrad sculpture block program: Anna Ramlal, Blaize Marshall, Giovanni Rojo, Jimena Cereza, Kaitlyn Sue Seefeldt, and Yesica Marie. This is the very first senior exhibition in the new sculpture facility, Elgin Street Studios.

The opening will be held on December 10th, 2021 from 6-8 pm. The show will be open for additional viewing on December 11th from 10am-2 pm and December 12th from 2-6 pm. This show is a culmination of the three semesters (virtual and in-person) these artists spent in the Sculpture Block Program. The Fall 2021 class encountered unique challenges as they entered Block fully virtually in the Fall of 2020. These unique circumstances forced these artists to change how they navigate the world of sculpture. They constructed new ways to show and create sculptures in virtual space. They then navigated reentering in-person classes in the Fall of 2021 and adapted again to a new way of making.

The Fall 2021 Sculpture Block class is beyond proud to share this accomplishment with you.
