Downsizing through Movement is an eight-week program that uses a three-pronged approach to helping participants bring their body fat percentage to a healthy range by providing education, activity, and behavior change support. We pursue a healthy lifestyle by integrating in-depth knowledge, consistent exercise, proper nutrition, & healthy behavior into our lives. (Register by Jan 19.)
Women on Weights teaches women proper weight-lifting etiquette, technique, and routine. The goals are to assist women in improving posture, increasing strength and optimizing body composition. (Registration closes Jan 19).
The Piano + series fills the stage with a variety of instruments, playing Houston premieres of septets by Spohr and Janacek, and the fun septet by Saint-Saens. Performers are UH faculty members Wayne Brooks, Aralee Dorough, Andrzej Grabiec, Timothy Hester, Mark Hughes, Robert Johnson, Anthony Kitai, Suzanne LeFevre, Richie Hawley (guest), Brian Suits, Todd Van Kekerix, Elise Wagner, Dennis Whittaker, and Kirsten Yon.
