All incoming students are required to take an Introduction to Design lecture course and Design Studio I. Each student has their own desk in our large, open studios where they will learn to draw, build models and prototypes, and speculate as they practice design thinking each day. A variety of media are employed in Design Studio I to facilitate multiple forms of design and making including hand drawings, computer-aided drawing, physical model building, and digital fabrication.
