Community Roundtable: Focusing on Houston’s Third Ward

the
Hines
College’s
first
in-person
event
in
more
than
a
year.
The
Community
Roundtable:
Focusing
on
Houston’s
Third
Ward
is
the
first
of
many
future
roundtables
supporting
partnerships
between
Third
Ward
neighborhood
organizations
and
the
Gerald
D.
Hines
College
of
Architecture
and
Design.
Third
Ward
community
leaders
will
present
a
recently
completed
neighborhood
master
plan
and
ongoing
projects
suitable
for
collaboration
with
students
and
faculty.
The DEI Action Task Force encourages students and faculty members to consider selecting sites in the Third Ward for their studio and other appropriate class assignments during the 2021-2022 academic year. This event is especially informative for faculty members looking for a project or site to assign to their classes next semester and students starting work on a graduate master project or undergraduate design thesis during fall 2021. Light refreshments will be served, and the presentations will be live-streamed and recorded.
