Fall 2020 Campus Store Operations

As the Fall 2020 semester is quickly approaching, we wanted to provide you with additional information about the resources and options available to you at the UH Campus Store for a successful academic year.

To assist with social distancing guidelines, we have been hard at work to locate and provide the most cost-efficient options for this upcoming term. With that in mind, we have partnered with publishers to convert many titles, including some access codes, into digital formats. We highly encourage students to place online orders and select digital when available or when it makes sense for your course. Digital items are delivered to you by email in a matter of minutes. We also suggest ordering early to allow sufficient time for physical items to be shipped to your home or the store.

Course materials can be purchased online at uhcampusstore.com or click the ‘UH Campus Store’ icon within AccessUH.

What will the online order pick-up experience be?

In-store Online Order pickup will be handled differently this semester. Online order pickup will be by appointment and located in the Bayou City Room in the Student Center South from August 20 until September 2. Once your order is ready for pickup, you will receive an email with instructions for scheduling an appointment. For those still wishing to utilize curbside pickup instead of coming into the store, this service will be available by appointment only until August 23.

What will the in-store experience be?

For students wishing to come to the store to purchase their items, we will be open with modified hours of operation. Please visit our website for the most up-to-date information such as operational hours before heading to the store. Once on campus, please check in with a greeter at either of our two entrances to enter a queue for the store. This new process will assist with social distancing while shopping.

To make shopping for textbooks easier and more efficient, we have implemented a Shop by Author program. Please visit this site, txbk.info/uh, and a list will be provided in Author order for you. Don’t worry; we will also have associates to assist you with this site or other questions that arise.

We encourage students to visit the site and print a shopping list of required texts in Author order before arriving at the store (or save it to their phone). This will speed up the in-store experience to get in and out of the store quickly.

Please note that we are following all University and local guidance for social distancing and cleaning standards. Face Coverings is required during your shopping experience along with maintaining 6 feet of distance between yourself and other guests.

If you have questions or concerns before arriving to campus, please give us a call at 713.741.7095 or email us at campusstore@uh.edu.
