Winter Meal Plans Available for those Staying on Campus Over Break

Houston, Dec. 8, 2017 - Winter meal plans are now available for anyone who will be staying on campus during the upcoming break.

Two plans are being offered, both of which will be valid from Dec. 14 through Jan. 14 at Moody Towers Dining Commons:

Block 20

Number of meal swipes: 20

Cost: $150 plus tax, for a total of $162.38

Cost per meal swipe: $7.50

Block 50

Number of meal swipes: 50

Cost: $300 plus tax, for a total of $324.75

Cost per meal swipe: $6

Fall meal plans expire at 11 a.m. Dec. 13, at which time meal exchanges will stop being accepted and any remaining guest passes will be forfeited. Unused Cougar Cash from fall meal plans will carry over and can still be used after Dec. 13.

Moody Towers Dining Commons will be open every day during the winter break, serving a limited lunch and dinner menu from the savor and grill-to-order stations. In addition, the salad bar and dessert station will be open. Vegan and halal menu items will be available at the savor station.

Hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The door price to enter is $7.95 for those who do not have a winter meal plan and will be paying by cash, credit or debit. Those paying with Cougar Cash receive a 10 percent discount.

Buying a winter meal plan is easy. Here are the steps for students to follow:

1. Log in to AccessUH with myUH ID and password

2. Select the Cougar Card icon

3. Click on the "Meal Plan" drop down tab

4. Select the "Buy Meal Plan" option from the menu

5. Select the appropriate term (Winter 2017)

6. Choose a meal plan

7. View the meal plan terms and conditions

8. Check box to accept the meal plan terms and conditions

9. Click "Buy"

Winter meal plans will be charged to the spring fee bill. Unused meal swipes will not carry over. Anyone who has questions can reach out to Auxiliary Services at auxiliaryservices@uh.edu or 832-842-9053.
