Get the 411 on Retirement During Day of Workshops

Houston, Oct. 27, 2017 — The University of Houston Human Resources department will host a day of retirement workshops for employees on Friday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Elizabeth D. Rockwell Pavilion at the MD Anderson Library.

The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) and Employees Retirement System (ERS) of Texas will provide presentations to help UH employees navigate the retirement process.

TRS will provide detailed information about retirement benefits including how the TRS retirement plan works, what qualifies you to retire, and how the plan will benefit you in retirement. ERS will discuss medical benefits options in retirement, including dependent coverage, post-retirement life insurance and disability benefits as well as Medicare preparation. Attendees can also learn about the Texa$aver 457 Plan.
