Jennings Promoted to Senior Safety Specialist

Houston, Dec. 17, 2018 - Adam C. Jennings has been promoted to senior safety specialist in the Chemical Safety group of the University of Houston's Department of Environmental Health and Life Safety.

Jennings began working at UH in 2017 in the department's Hazardous Waste group after a successful career as a naval officer, during which he held a variety of technical and leadership positions in the fields of meteorology and oceanography, national intelligence, and acquisition requirements integration.

His new role as a senior safety specialist focuses on developing and implementing programs and policies relating to chemical safety and training, as well as overseeing comprehensive laboratory audits.

"During his time at UH, Adam has rapidly integrated himself into the EHLS team," Chemical Safety Manager Dr. Zhen "Jenny" Fu said. "His previous experience in program and project management will be a welcomed addition to the Chemical Safety group."
