Human Resources to Host "Financial Wellness" Sessions

Houston, April 18, 2019 — The Human Resources department of the University of Houston will host two Financial Wellness presentations to help employees get familiarize with UH System's interactive retirement savings portal, "Retirement @ Work." During the sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to hear from each of the UH retirement plan providers and learn more about its services.

These sessions will occur from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at the UH Technology Bridge, Building 4, Room 110, and on Wednesday, May 1, in the MD Anderson Library, Elizabeth D. Rockwell Pavilion.

There will be representatives from the University and the four key UHS Retirement Savings Plan vendors - Fidelity, TIAA, VALIC and Voya - who will explain how employees can enroll, maintain and manage their retirement savings plans using the "Retirement @ Work" online portal.

These free sessions are open to all benefits-eligible UH employees. Lunch will be provided. To attend, however, employee participants must register as space is limited.

On both days, Fidelity, TIAA, VALIC and Voya will provide information about their retirement investment services and answer questions. Employees will be able to speak with representatives one-on-one and/or make individual appointments to meet at a later date.

"Retirement @ Work" is an online portal that allows UH System employees a simplified, more interactive experience in managing their retirement savings plans. It's a one-stop shop where employees can review and update their contribution amounts and investment choices, and take advantage of calculators and other tools to help create a personalized retirement plan to fit their needs.

Access the Retirement at Work portal via Access UH under Administrative Services.

For more information about retirement and other UH employee benefits, visit the "Benefits" page on the Human Resources website or contact the HR Service Center at 713-743-3988.
