Houston, Jan. 9, 2017 — Executive Chef Brent Gorman will represent the University of Houston at the 26th annual Taste of the NFL event on Feb. 4.

Taste of the NFL has become a must-attend Super Bowl event and its mission is to eradicate hunger throughout America. Since its establishment in 1992, the organization has raised over $25 million.

With the Super Bowl being hosted in Houston, Taste of the NFL chose the University of Houston campus as its event site. The event will be held the night before the big game and chefs from each NFL city will prepare dishes representing their hometown. Notable chefs from past years have included Bobby Flay, Ted Allen, Buddy Valastro and Andrew Zimmern.

Gorman is no stranger to high-profile events such as Taste of the NFL. With a career expanding over 30 years, he has cooked for many celebrities, including George Clooney, Sean "Diddy" Combs and George Foreman.

"I take immense pride in representing the University of Houston at this event," Gorman said. "It will be an experience I will never forget."

During the October press conference announcing UH as the site of the event, Gorman prepared a lamb chop "lollipop" that was such a crowd pleaser, it was requested to be one of his features the night of the event.

"I am still deciding on the final menu selections, but it will be unique and delectable," he said.

Aramark chef Mark Riley will also participate in the event. He serves as the executive chef of Eric's Restaurant, which is located inside the hotel at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.
