Two retirement workshops being offered next month
 
The Department of Human Resources is pleased to announce two upcoming retirement workshops that you won't want to miss. Representatives from TRS and ERS will be leading these informative sessions on all aspects of the State of Texas retirement process, including retirement eligibility, post-retirement insurance, compensation and service credit purchase.

Please register soon, using your PASS account. Not only are these workshops popular, but Human Resources will also be raffling two basketball season tickets for registered attendees.

TRS Workshop (Retirement Compensation) (HRTV17)

• When: Thursday, Oct. 17, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
• Where: UH Hilton Hotel Flamingo Room
• Description: Your TRS Benefits - Now and in the Future! (HRTV17) In this workshop, TRS will be on campus at the UH Hilton Hotel to provide UH employees with detailed information about TRS and retirement. This workshop is excellent for ALL individuals with any level of interest in retirement from new employees wanting to see how the plan will work for them in the future to employees thinking about retiring and wanting to know more about what qualifies you to retire and how the plan will work once you retire.
  

ERS Workshop Retiree Benefits Distribution) (HRTV18)

• When: Thursday, Oct. 17, 3:45-5:15 p.m.
• Where: UH Hilton Hotel Flamingo Room
• Description: Ready, Set, Retire! (HRTV18) In this workshop, representatives from ERS will follow the TRS workshop and provide you detailed information about retirement eligibility, insurance at retirement, purchasing service credit, and the retirement process.
