University of Houston Dining Services welcomes UH graduate Clark Neumann and his Radicle Fresh Juice tricycle to campus.

Radicle Fresh Juice was developed to inspire healthy diets on college campuses, beginning with UH. The product line consists of fresh, mostly organic ingredients that are made daily at Cougar Woods Dining Hall.

“I have developed everything from the branding to the recipes themselves,” said Neumann, who serves as Radicle’s CEO. “Juices are made each morning for guaranteed freshness.”

The current juice flavors include Cali, made from carrots, apples and lime; the OG, comprising carrots, beets, celery and lemon; No Name, which has kale, spinach, celery, apples, lemon and ginger; and Lucy’s Juice, made from cucumbers, celery, apples, chard, sunflower sprouts, spinach and parsley. All juices are raw and contain no additives.

“The juices are made using the cold-press method, which helps retain the most nutrients possible,” said Neumann.

He is currently running a contest to give a name to the No Name juice. The contest encourages customers to take a clever photo around campus with a bottle of No Name juice and post it to Instagram. Participants should clearly indicate their clever juice name and tag @RadicleFreshJuice while using the hashtag, #NameARad.

“The top five names will be published on Facebook and will be put to a vote,” said Neumann. “The winner will receive 10 free juices and a Radicle Fresh Juice T-shirt.

The Radicle tricycle can be found around campus and customers can check social media to find out where it will be. Three payment options are available: credit cards, debit cards and Cougar Cash.

“I encourage everyone to come by to say hi and try a sample of one of our rad juices,” said Neumann.

All profits will be donated back to the university by benefactor and co-founder Barbara Hines, who is the mastermind behind Radicle Fresh Juice.
