The University of Houston Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Operations Department will be hosting a HUB Vendor Fair and Workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, which will be held in the University Center ballroom on the second floor, serves a dual purpose – matching certified HUB vendors with new customers and providing outreach to non-HUB businesses. The participants for the fair/workshop will include certified HUB vendors (exhibitors), UH faculty and staff, as well as employees of other state agencies and local ISDs (participants), and business owners who want to learn more about HUB certification (prospective HUBs).
During the vendor fair, certified HUB exhibitors will provide educational/informational fliers, brochures and samples of their products. A HUB workshop will run concurrently from 10 a.m. to noon for those individuals and entities who wish to learn about HUB qualifications, how to apply for HUB certification, and how to promote their business once certification has been obtained.
