Vehicle Report Cards
The University of Houston Department
of Public Safety will be issuing
Vehicle Report Cards in the next two
weeks. The Department of Public
Safety uses these report cards to
help bring awareness to better
safeguarding your vehicle and
belongings. The DPS does not want
the campus community to become a
victim of crime. This new program is
geared toward the prevention of
burglary and theft of motor
vehicles.
University of Houston Department of
Public Safety Officers will be
taking pro-active measures to help
you, the public, protect your
property by monitoring your cars in
selected parking lots and looking
for property and items that may be
targets for burglary or thefts. The
officers will report to you, through
written report cards, as to whether
you have passed or failed the
review. The program emphasizes the
need to safe guard those items by
removing them from view or securing
them. This report will be placed on
the windshield of your vehicle. If
you pass the review, kudos to you,
and if you fail the review, we hope
this will help you better safeguard
your property.
