University of Houston Environmental Health and Life Safety has designed a new logo to represent the fields of radiation safety, biological safety, chemical safety and environmental protection within the department.
As these areas continue to grow, it was determined that some more detailed recognition was needed to show what they represent. The UH Fire Marshal’s Safety team will continue to wear its traditional uniform and patches.
A former EHLS employee, Sangho Nam, created this new version of the logo.
The goal was to complement the Fire Marshal uniform of EHLS and protect the image of the agency having jurisdiction in environmental health and safety matter at UH.
After a long deliberation between the team members and a final approval by UH Branding, the new logo was implemented and became part of their uniform during the first part of the fall semester.
