TPAC meetings offer chance to voice concerns about parking

TPAC meetings

With another school year underway, Bob Browand, director of UH’s Parking and Transportation Services department, reminds everyone that Transportation Parking and Advisory Committee meetings are open to the campus community.

Comprised of representatives from Faculty Senate, Staff Council and the Student Government Association, TPAC is a group that meets once a month during the academic year to discuss and vote on everything from how events like football games will impact campus parking and traffic to whether or not parking permit rates should be increased.

Every meeting includes an open forum section where individuals are encouraged to bring up their specific parking-related issues, requests or needs. Individuals interested in participating in the meeting’s open forum section should email Browand directly at rbrowand@uh.edu.

“In the past, everything from lot maintenance requests to visitor parking concerns have been addressed during TPAC meetings,” said Browand. “We encourage people to bring any and all feedback, as it helps us better plan our operations and improve our services.”
