Temporary Parking Lots Along Leek Street

Due to a loss of parking as construction of the new Stadium Parking Garage begins, temporary lots will be created along Cullen in order to alleviate congestion.

The lots will be formed from three vacant lots that are located west of Cullen Blvd. and bordered by Dennis Street, Leek Street and Anita Street.

The university eagerly anticipates the increase in parking availability when the garage is completed, but until that date efforts are being made to provide as much additional parking as possible.

The first lot between Anita and Tuam is scheduled to be completed in November and the other two by January 2011. The three new lots should provide approximately 240 spaces. The lots will also include lighting and security phones. The Stadium Parking Garage is scheduled to be completed in August 2012.
