A&F Holiday Party includes fun, food and tote bag drive

Nearly 1,000 recyclable tote bags were collected at the Administration and Finance Division’s Holiday Party in support of the Personal Early Educational Performance Support (PEEPS) Pantry, a program of the College of Education.

The bags will be used by the pantry, which assists students in need. The pantry is stocked with canned goods, microwaveable meals, non-perishable items and hygiene products, which students can take with them using the donated tote bags. The A&F Holiday Party took place Thursday, Dec. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Houston Room of the Student Center South. Before entering the event, employees were able to drop off donated bags at a collection table set up outside the entrance, which Lee and A&F volunteers manned with smiling faces.

Hundreds of employees representing the many diverse departments under the A&F umbrella came to the holiday celebration. They were able to enjoy a delicious lunch catered by UH Dining’s Fresh Fork catering service, browse through a swag giveaway station for goodies and be creative with costumes and props at the Lucky Shots photo booth. In addition, many were able to submit in advance a name for Pippi’s Art Asian Name Painting.
