STUDENT EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT CHRIS JACOBS
Its not
unusual to find a group of students
working in offices on campus. They
are the backbone of many operations,
doing a lot of the footwork that
full-time employees may not have the
time or space for. However, it is
unusual to find a student that fits
in so well and does such a
consistently professional job that
even his supervisors sometimes
forget that he is a student worker.
Chris Jacobs is that kind of worker.
Jacobs is a graphic designer and
student leader with the marketing
department in UH Dining Services.
Not only does he design most of the
signs and fliers that you see in the
dining areas, he is also the loud
and crazy motivator out on campus
getting people pumped up at Dining
Services events.
Chris has made a huge impact since
joining the team, said Misty
Pierce, UH Dining Services marketing
program manager. Not only has he
been able to lead a team of fellow
students, but he has also helped
them to become more successful in
their endeavors than ever before.
When he is not leading the team, he
is designing fabulous graphics that
help set us apart from all others.
With his talent and passion, he will
go far in all that he does!
Under Jacobs guidance, the student
marketing team has not only met, but
greatly exceeded their goals for all
of their campaigns during the Fall
2010 semester.
We have had such a great semester
and even doubled some of our goals,
said Amber Walkowiak, UH Dining
Services marketing coordinator.
Chris leads by example and is never
afraid to put himself out there to
show the team the best ways of
reaching students. Thats what makes
him such a great leader and
manager.
