FY11 Mandatory Training Coming Soon
Mandatory Training is just around
the corner and based on feedback
from the University community
following last year's mandatory
training period, there are several
changes for FY11.
Changes in FY11 Mandatory Training
to Note:
The five primary trainings
(Ethics, EEO, FERPA, Fraud, and
Secure Our Systems) mandated for all
UHS employees, will not require
content testing for FY11. This year
employees will be provided
information briefs for each training
topic and they will be required to
acknowledge responsibility for the
information provided.
Employees will receive a personal
email when the FY11 Mandatory
Training period begins November 15th
- January 31st. This email will list
all the trainings that the employee
has been enrolled in for FY11. This
will include the following:
- the mandatory trainings referred
to above
- any finance trainings required of
your position or responsibilities
- if you are faculty, exempt staff
or non-exempt staff that has
purchasing responsibility you will
be required to complete the External
Consulting & Related Party
Disclosure form for FY10 (remember
you are reporting on last year's
activities)
Once the FY11 Mandatory Training
period begins, each employee will
receive a weekly status email
listing any training that has not
been completed. Employees will
receive this weekly status email
until they have completed all the
training required. Once they have
successfully completed all their
required training they will receive
a final email indicating their
successful completion.
Things that are the same:
Any finance trainings will require
content testing as in previous
years.
Any System employee who fails to
complete the mandatory training
requirements by the deadline will
not have met their job expectations
and will therefore not be eligible
for merit increases as stated in SAM
02.A.11 and SAM 02.A.26.
Once you receive the initial email
that the FY11 Mandatory Training
period has started you will be able
to access your training by logging
in to your UHS Online Training
account at
https://www.uh.edu/employeetraining
using your PeopleSoft ID and date of
birth (or chosen password).
