Volunteers needed for residential move-in this fall
The University of Houston
community will be changing in a big way this fall as two new
residential facilities open. The number of students who will be
living on campus will increase sharply to more than 8,000,
making UH one of the largest college residential communities in
the entire state of Texas.
The task of helping these students move in is always a
monumental one, but this year it will be even more challenging.
This is an undertaking that can be shared by everyone. By
volunteering, staff and faculty will allow UH�s newest residents
to feel the community pride and spirit that is the University of
Houston. There is no better way to show these students and their
families that they made the right choice when they joined UH�s
warm and caring community.
Student success is the mission and legacy of a Tier One research
university. One of the main goals is to raise the graduation
rate, and leaving a great impression on students is a big step
in achieving that goal.
