Travel Expense Report Update - Mileage Between UH and Airport

The Travel Expense Report has been updated to reflect the standard mileage from UH to Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and from UH to Hobby Airport (HOU). Mileage was obtained from Mapquest, using the following addresses:

University of Houston: 4800 Calhoun, Houston, TX 77004
IAH: 2800 N Terminal Rd, Houston, TX 77032
Hobby: 7800 Airport Blvd, Houston, TX 77061

Effective immediately, the standard mileage between UH and the airports is as follows:

Between UH and IAH Airport: 23.91 miles
Between UH and Hobby Airport: 8.04 miles

If the above standard mileage is used on the Travel Expense Report, travelers do not have to provide additional information for mileage reimbursements between UH and IAH or Hobby.

Otherwise, travelers may document mileage as follows:
1. Complete the Mileage Report for vehicle odometer reading or
2. Complete the Mileage Report for addresses and attach the mileage calculation from a mapping service website, such as Mapquest or Google Maps

The Mileage Report is located at:

Note that the UH to airport mileage previously included on the Travel Expense Report (IAH 21.4 and Hobby 7.3) was based on the Texas Mileage Guide. Since the Texas Mileage Guide was removed from the Comptrollers website, as previously announced, those mileage calculations should not be used.
